What counts as GMV?⌄
GMV = the total dollar value of orders FraudShield scores in a given month. We measure it from the order subtotal at the moment of scoring (before refunds, after discounts). Refunds and cancellations don't reduce it for tier-placement purposes — but they also don't trigger billable re-scores.
What happens if I exceed my tier mid-month?⌄
You're upgraded to the next tier immediately and the bill is prorated for that month — e.g., "Starter days 1–15 + Growth days 16–30". We email you at 80% of any threshold so the upgrade isn't a surprise.
Can I downgrade if my volume drops?⌄
Yes. Tier-down requires 3 consecutive months below the threshold (so a single quiet month doesn't churn your billing). Downgrades take effect at the next billing period.
What's included in 'AI scoring'?⌄
Every order on a paid tier is scored by an AI model (Claude) alongside the deterministic rules. The AI sees the order context — addresses, history, payment signals — and returns a calibrated risk band plus a natural-language explanation that gets stored with the order.
Do I need an OpenAI account?⌄
No. AI is fully included on every paid tier. There's no separate AI vendor bill, no API key to manage, no token-cost passthrough. Just sign up.
Which e-commerce platforms do you support?⌄
FraudShield works with any platform that can make an HMAC-signed HTTP request. Native integrations are available for Shopify and WooCommerce. Custom integrations via our /v1/analyze API are available on all paid tiers.
What if I have multiple stores or brands?⌄
Starter supports 1 store, Growth 3, Pro 10, Enterprise unlimited. Each store has its own rules, thresholds, and audit trail — but everything rolls up into one billing relationship.
How does the 90-day audit work?⌄
Once a quarter we compile every flagged order, decision, and reason code from the last 90 days into a signed report you can hand to your bank or processor as chargeback evidence. Included on Pro and Enterprise; available as an add-on on Starter and Growth.
Do you offer annual discounts?⌄
Yes — pay yearly and save 15% on every paid tier. The discount applies on the day you switch; we credit any unused monthly balance.
Is there a contract? Can I cancel anytime?⌄
No contract on Starter, Growth, or Pro — cancel from the Billing tab and you'll keep access until the end of the period. Enterprise plans have a custom term you negotiate; everything else is month-to-month or annual at your option.
